cARTel Presents The Sockhop Swap Shop Tired of laboring over the perfect outfit for a night out, dancing the town red? Well, we've got the perfect solution for you and we even went and made it into a slammin' one day event: The Sockhop Swap Shop.

In February 2010, we threw this dance party with a twist - every time the beat drops, you change an article of clothing with the person next to you. Finally, a way to find the perfect fedora, pink sparkly onesie, angel wings and one clog to match those socks you love so much.

DJ Godjira (Chad Kenney) spun the tunes.

DJ Gojira and his incredible 1s and 2s kept the party hoppin' while guests could sample the homemade baked goods and spiked punch or get some sound advice from award-winning playwright and cARTel ensemble member Kit Steinkellner.

The night included a special performance by vaudevillian extraordinaires: Suddenly Dapper.

What's that? You want to dance but you don't know how? Well, it's a good thing dance troupe Suddenly Dapper is here to show you how to correctly cut that rug. Then, to close out the night, The Time Police proved, once again, why they are the most important thing to happen to music since Thriller, with a blistering slab of their signature future-funk.
